I discovered Reiki almost 20 years ago and have never forgotten my first session. I arrived in search of soulful replenishment, feeling that I required some self-care/love. What I received was a life-changing experience. The depth of relaxation I felt was like nothing I had ever known. My body instinctively welcomed the relaxation and the healing journey reiki would take me on. I knew I would never look back.
I have always felt an incredible connection with all that is spiritual and divine, this was apparent from an extremely young age. My studies took me to Theological Seminary at Princeton which began my service for the Reformed Church. Throughout my vocation, Reiki has been an energy source and a way in which I replenish. My service is, as for many of us, a giving role, Reiki serves to enable me to better serve others. I have found it to be a perfect balance between my grounded self and the Divine.
Completing my training as a Reiki Master was a glorious personal achievement. It became very apparent throughout my training that the connection between Reiki and my vocation was intrinsically linked. I have enjoyed the growth of skill and understanding in both roles as they support each other harmoniously. My life of Prayer continues to keep me an open channel for all that is spiritual and divine. I know this connection deeply impacts my ability to practice Reiki and hold space for others.

While on a cruise, I rode the practice run used by the JamaicanLuge team. It was extremely bumpy and I really hurt my back, so much so that I could hardly walk. I was distraught thinking I had ruined the rest of my cruise. Back on the ship Sue Marie offered to give me a Raiki session to see if it would help. Sue Marie gave me two sessions, one each day. I felt better after the first session and by the second session, my pain was actually gone. My cruise was saved! Sue Marie is a terrific Raiki Master and in my opinion, Sue Marie and Reiki is the way to go for pain.

A number of years ago, my niece went head over handlebars on her bike and broke her back. She was rushed to the hospital and was never expected to walk again.
